There\u2019s very little room for error if you\u2019re aiming for top marks.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The biggest error I see some students making is using the wrong studies. For example, the question might ask about social identity theory and someone writes about Bandura\u2019s bobo doll study, or about Loftus and Palmer\u2019s car crash study on a question about emotion and memory. While you might not score a zero, you definitely won\u2019t score top marks. That\u2019s why it\u2019s important you practise matching up what study goes with what topic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An easy way to do this is to take the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themantic-education.com\/ibpsych\/2020\/07\/29\/exam-topics-in-ib-psychology-paper-one\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">list of topics <\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the exam and write down what study you\u2019re going to do for each. Have this checked by your teacher so you know you\u2019ve got them correct. For example, you might be prepared to use Bransford and Johnson\u2019s laundry study for schema theory and Passamonti\u2019s for neurotransmission (Our <a href=\"https:\/\/store.themantic-education.com\/products\/ib-psychology-a-revision-guide-ebook-1?variant=41406075961537\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Revision Textbook<\/a> comes with a downloadable workbook with all this included).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then you could make flashcards with just the topic heading on one side, and the study you\u2019re going to use on the other. This wouldn\u2019t take long to do. Then practice showing yourself the topic heading and saying out loud which study goes with it. You could use the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leitner_system\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leitner System<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/schoolhabits.com\/how-to-study-flashcards-3-pile-method\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three Pile System.\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Good revision is about doing a little often.
