That is to say, a psychological theory is one that attempts to provide a description and\/or an explanation for particular behaviour and\/or mental processes.<\/p>\n

In my opinion, this is the most important thing for students to understand regarding psychological theories. Everything else stems from this conceptual understanding.<\/p>\n
A good exit ticket strategy after learning about a new theory (or revising one already studied) is to ask students to write a one sentence essay on the theory.<\/p>\n
