You\u2019ll collect data on these habits and conduct a self-experimentation to make positive changes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Along the way, you\u2019ll also do some readings and some research on things that might affect your health. You\u2019ll also be doing some reflections on the IB Psychology course and what you\u2019ve learned.<\/span><\/p>\n<div  class=\"x-video embed with-container\" ><div class=\"x-video-inner\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/oRgdnZECN68\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/div>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>Overview<\/b><\/h2>\n<blockquote><p>Download the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themantic-education.com\/ibpsych\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/04\/Online-Health-Psychology-SelfExperimentation-Project-Workbook.docx\">student workbook for the online health option.<\/a><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This project is designed to take 4 weeks. See above for links to specific instructions for each week.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Week 1 Control Condition:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You\u2019re going to collect data on your health habits and their effects without changing anything from your normal routine. This is the control condition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Week 2 Treatment Condition:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> After looking over your data from Week 1, you\u2019re going to set some goals to make some changes to your routines and habits and measure their effects. This is the manipulation of your IV and is the treatment condition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Week 3 Analysis and Report:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You\u2019re going to compare the results of the two weeks and draw some conclusions.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Week 4 Interviews: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019re going to conduct semi-structured qualitative interviews on a sample of your classmates to discuss their experiences throughout this project to understand their experiences of trying to improve their health habits.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Purpose We are going to learn about health psychology through a self-experimentation project.
