Working with your group, it&#8217;s a race to see who can answer this question first:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">All of these conflicts started for the same reason. What is that reason?<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Source 1:<\/span> The &#8220;Beaver Wars&#8221; (Warpaths2peacepipes)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.warpaths2peacepipes.com\/the-indian-wars\/beaver-wars.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article <\/a>summarizes a conflict in North America in the late 1600s, when European settlers were in the early stages of colonizing modern America and Canada. The reasons for this conflict are the same as the others.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Source 2:<\/span> The Lelantine War (Ancient Greek Battles)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britannica.com\/event\/Lelantine-War\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article <\/a>summarizes a conflict in Ancient Greece. What were they fighting over?<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Source 3:<\/span> The Vancouver Gang Wars 2009 (Wikipedia)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2009_Vancouver_gang_war\">wikipedia entry<\/a> gives some insight into a conflict between a range of rival gangs in Vancouver. Once again, we see the same reasons for conflict in this example as in the others.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Source 4:<\/span> Conflict in North and South Poles (The Guardian)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/2008\/apr\/05\/poles.endangeredhabitats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article <\/a>by The Guardian summarizes conflict that hasn&#8217;t started yet, but seems like it&#8217;s brewing. What is the reason for the tension in these areas?<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Source 5:<\/span> 9 Historical Wars (<strong>B<\/strong>usiness Insider)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/nine-wars-that-were-fought-over-commodities-2012-8#the-battle-of-plassey-helped-establish-british-control-over-india-and-bring-it-access-to-the-countrys-commodities-and-control-trading-routes-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article <\/a>summarizes 9 different battles or wars. All nine of these share the same thing in common as the other conflicts listed above.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Need help?<\/h2>\n<p>The fifth source above really gives away the answer.
