survey content

love this resource, but wondering if perhaps a couple of supplementary pages could be added discussing how surveys can be used?

Thanks, Megan. Yes, this is a good idea. It was only recently the IB confirmed surveys as a potential research method in Paper 3. Since it's only needed for Qu1a, as long as students remember 2 characteristics of surveys they'll be fine: a) Gathers data on a large number of participants
b) Uses data gathering techniques such as questionnaires (quantitative) or interviews (qualitative)
Next editions of the book and TSPs will include info on surveys for Paper 3.

Practical activities and easy to teach

Thank you for providing such a great resource for someone like me who is a new IB teacher. I bought this to help me deliver instruction on Research Methods. I wanted to prepare my students for Paper 3 and their practice IA. I also wanted activities that were engaging. This teacher pack saved me so much time! My kids loved the videos and the case study activity was outstanding. Ending Qualitative Methods with this activity was such a hit for my students! Another fabulous production

One of the biggest issues for teacher especially new to teaching IB is what kind of resources are out there, Travis and the team have taken that challenge on and have absolutely smashed it. I'm continually impressed with the quality of resources that have been produced in such short space of time.

I taught Quantitative methods after Criminology and before the IA, although some of the content is relevant to Social Influence Travis has accounted for this and given students the option to use a variety of research studies to answer the work book questions.

The list of 25 key studies have been a massive help for students to use as guidance for revision as well as to see the variety of topics from the IB Psychology guide that each study can be applied to, this has helped students grasp a fuller understanding of the thematic approach.

Chaptive 6 is nicely sequenced with a variety of activities which are complemented with visually stimulating presentations
